Farm Photos
November 24, 2009
Well, it is likely that nobody checks up on this site anymore because our bike trip is over- and well, we haven’t written anything for a while. However, I thought I would post of few pictures from the farms that I have worked on in England. I have ended my WWOOFing journey and left my wellies (rain boots) at the last farm (although I think that was a premature decision because it is VERY rainy here). There have definitely been ups and downs, but I thought my photos could serve to highlight the three different farms I have been on.

Oxford, the Dorset Heath and Swanage Cliffs

I’m not sure if people are still going to check up on this site, but I figured I might as well post some photos from Oxford, as well as my most recent trip to the south of England for my course orientation. We visited the Dorset Heath as well as the cliffs at Swanage, although we spent a disappointing amount of time actually walking through the nature reserves (I can’t bring myself to call what we did hiking). But they did feed us an awful lot. This week is ‘Fresher’s Week’ for me, which is seems to just be an extended orientation program with a few too many organized social events, but it has been good fun so far. Last night I finally went inside Keble College, and had dinner in the massive hall. Apparently, it was built to be one brick longer than the hall at Christ Church (competitive much??), which many people might recognize from the Harry Potter movies. As it turns out, Keble originally was supposed to be where they filmed the movies, but Keble turned them down because it would be too time intensive. Either way, its a really beautiful place.
Noami is off farming near Cirencester now, about 50 miles away, and I am hoping to visit next week. If she had internet access, I suspect she would say hello to everyone.
